FS: Driver Side B Pillar

Post by Spen »

Excellent shape driver side B Pillar. Does not have any major damage to main panel. Usually BMW would put a little extra vinyl to wrap under the pinch weld and have the sill trim cover that. That little bit of vinyl is no longer attached. The small top screw w the conical countersunk washer for the small screw is attached to the slightly rusty screw. It can be included or use your good screw. The seatbelt trim that goes around the opening for the belt is not present or included. Sound deadening foam bit is still present in back of panel.

Extremely small imperfections on bottom shown.
Rear of panel vertical edge has small imperfection / cut.

$120 + shipping and payment fees

Nice piece for anyone's nice E28.

Wow, outstanding condition and detail, kudos to spen for highlighting the minuscule flaws. But... they're coming up for me as 48 MP pictures which seems a little extreme. Going thru Winzip etc was a bit of a PITA. Or maybe I'm just a whiner. :dunno:

Wondering how you slipped the seatbelt strap through without damaging the pillar? I can't figure it out. Thanks

The additional trim piece wasn't present. The one that covers the belt hole.

Right, that plastic trim piece stays with the strap. You take off that trim piece and it fits through the slot.

I don't know how to replace the beauty trim other than cut it st the bottom or bend it through a warmed up fresh trim piece. To update, this has been sold and is shipped.

No need to cut the trim ring, they are flexible enough to contort the hasp through the opening (I know it doesn't seem like it would without cracking in half, but they do).
See my write up here about mid-way down on page 6: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=139465&start=125

Also, these rings are NLA now, so if you find an intact set grab them. (I think these would be great candidates for a 3D printing experiment).
