Put an unlighted window switch in that I have wired to control the lock unlock of the car.
Put in a two-button fog light switch which I use to control the antenna (my HU raises the antenna when on, not just when AM/FM is selected) and the second switch controls the fan for the amplifiers.

But the cover is in stock, that is a good thing.

Can you post a picture of what you’re describing, please?

Thank you!

Turner Motorsports has a pic of the lighted window switch which for the door lock unlock will not work as it provides a path for electricity that the CLCU senses and it unlocks the car. Needs to be the early unlit widow switch. Site with the particulars is gone but the wiring goes to the CLCU mounted above the right side kick panel speaker.

Both these switches fit the opening adjacent to the radio and in the US cars can replace the blank on one side and the fader on the other side of the radio.

The window switch is a momentary switch that I have wired to lock and unlock the doors.
The dual button fog light switch are latching on-off switches set up for the antenna and the fan in the trunk for cooling the amps.

Let me see what I have York! I might have the fader/switch you need. I just no longer have an e28

That antenna idea is good one.
Time to hit the switch stash in the gayrage.
