F.S. 1982 Euro 518i

Post by Josh Van »

I would like to keep this car, but I have too many projects, and this one drew the short straw. Car is as follows;

1982 LHD Euro BMW 518i slicktop 96000 Kms (58,000 miles)
No rust, original paint, no accident damage. hood roof and trunk have sun damage and the clear coat has worn through.
Base spec car, no sunroof, manual windows, no AC, no central locking, no ABS
Has power steering, telescoping steering column,
Dash has one small crack, I have a spare black crack free dash in storage if needed.....
French Euro big and small H4/ H1 headlights with Bosch relays
Manual E28 Euro Sport Seats

This car was a driving project for myself, as such it has a bunch of goodies installed already, and boxes of goodies that come with it.
Currently installed;
BC Racing adjustable dampening coilovers. I sandblasted and prepped the front spindles, then plug and seam Tig welded the BC racing bases
Ireland Engineering 25/28mm swaybars with chassis reinforcements installed
Ireland engineering front braided stainless brake lines with new E34 -12" brake set up
Refinished Alpina 17x8.5" Softline wheels with new BFG 225/45/17 tires

Goodies that are still waiting for install are as follows;
Rear late model E28 disk beam and trailing arms (still needs to be blasted and refinished)
New trailing arm bushings
new Ireland engineering urethane 95A rear sub frame bushings
New rear dog bone bushings
New rear rotors and calipers
New 4 piece braided rear brake lines
New front upper and lower control arms/ tie rod ends (Not worn, but was going to replace anyway)
Ireland Engineering Posi Lock camber / caster adjustment kit for rear subframe

I have a standard pedal assembly for the car
Full set of power window harnesses/ switches, regulators, etc if someone is inclined to install power windows

My intent was to create a really basic Euro hot rod with an M54/ 6 speed, but that can be a project for another person.

The car is located in Victoria, BC Canada. I can Deliver to Vancouver to a shipper if it is going to go stateside, if anyone needs more photos, I am happy to provide.

Price with everything listed above is $11,750.00 CAD ($9,250.00 USD)

Electronic bank draft, or cash.

Cheers.

It's a nice looking car. Is it in drivable condition?

Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure if it was somewhat disassembled based on the photos.

To Clarify to everyone, this is a running driving reliable low mileage Euro E28 with current suspension and wheel upgrades, this is not a rolling shell, or inoperable project car. There have been no modifications to the drive train and the catalyst is still in place.

I think Alpina Softline wheels have edges that are rounded, not sharp like yours have.
IMO the Softline wheels don't look as nice as yours.

This is such an ideal project car for someone! It's just begging for an S54 + 6 speed or similar.

Woah! I have always wanted a 518i turbo. Let's call it 250hp and 2600lbs. Sounds like fun.
