Re: Petrolicious article- 1986 Hartge E23
This is a Hartge parts added to update a 745i not something Hartge put together. Unit was bought as a CA 745i and sent to the shop for the stripes, air dam, spoiler, strut brace and probably the stuff we don't see the suspension. Shift knob would not fit as this is an automatic and the period shift knob is for a manual. Does look nice with the Highline interior/Burl wood interior. The wheels would be correct if they had the Hartge center cap and were the right size, can't tell size but Hartge changed to the 11-spoke wheels in 1984 so an 86 should have these wheels. Be nice to see the build sheet and the Hartge parts installed. All that said it looks great and should be a sweet ride.

Not really a Hartge. Nice car though.
All I need is a Dinan badge and my 733 is as much Dinan as this is Hartge.

Very sharp ride! I wonder if any power upgrades have been done.

neat car, but at the end of the day, it's a 745i with a few cool, period correct, Hartge bits.
also, a 2000cs is most certainly not an e9...but that's neither here, nor there.

Worst stripe installation I have seen. Look at where they end on the rear, didn't they see any pictures of them on any cars?
