Non-Affiliated for Sale Thread, SEP 2020

Post by G-Man »

Not mine, no affiliation, etc.... 85 535i parts/project car, it's been for sale for months. Interior looks to be Oxblood instead of Cardinal red in case anyone is looking for a donor car with a red interior. Show up with a trailer, make a lowball cash offer and tell the seller that you'll make the car disappear, it may follow you home. https://baltimore.craigslist.org/pts/d ... 22533.html

84 533i automatic 209k
The automatic transmission version is much rarer than the manual version, and considering today's traffic, it is a real asset.
I still consider Auto as a con more than a pro. GLWS tho

1989(8?) 528e automatic parts car? If I didn't have an e28 already I'd try to revive it
Not running ( has a gas leak)
No title just a bill of sale
240k Immaculate condition
automatic transmission
Tags expired 2018
Excellent car for parts or someone might give it another chance.

The owner has messaged me several times on Instagram over the past two years. He just let me know he's selling the car via this auction site. It makes no sense to me that he's doing this given it would cost an individual $200 just to be able to bid. But to each his own.

EDIT: According to the owner on IG, the auction today did not close. Apparently the auction will run again next week.

1985 BMW 535i E28 5 speed manual

One family owned until last year
Local
5 speed Manual
Only 187k
No accident
Very rare classic

everything works including factory sunroof, heated seats

$15,000 Canadian is steep. I chatted with the seller, $10k didn't move the needle even a little bit a month ago.

Here is a 1986 535i manual, dark blue with 123K miles. It looks pretty clean. I'd buy it but don't want to go through another intervention.
It's in the Los Angeles area. I didn't know how to directly place the Craigslist ad on here but here are the links:

Really clean 2002 on BaT. Looks like it's had a lot of work put into it.

And not much of it desirable!

Why, why!!, put early metal grilles and the front panel it takes to fit them, to a square-tail-light '02 and NOT put the non-picnic-bench bumpers on it? Why convert the gas filler to an inside the trunk Rube Goldberg setup? Yeah, I read the excuses, and none of them are valid. They should have just left it alone. And the final bid price will show the folly of their decisions.

I went and saw this car when it was for sale by a previous owner. The car had the beginnings of very obvious shock tower rust as well as rust starting in different seams etc around the car. The asking price was $5000 Can then. The seller now, Trican auto sales is now advertising it for $15K. LOL. Its been for sale here for many months.

I also just spotted it on ebay yesterday. Scam artists! Strategically placed photos dont show the shock tower bubbles.
