Hartge Springs

Post by duggi »

I recently got some period Hartge springs from a friend and member here and just had them refinished. Thought I'd share some photos. The powder coater didn't have an exact match for the original Hartge yellow, but it's close (just a tad lighter).

It came with some Bilsteins (cannot recall which model) that I need to call Bilstein about having rebuilt/revalved.

Do you happen to know the Hartge Bilstein shock valve specs? I contacted Bilstein a few weeks ago, and they said they don't keep any data like that. I'd like to rebuild mine to ensure that they're the right valving, though rebuild cost is like $200/shock.
