BMW 535i turbo -86
Re: my monster BMW 535i turbo -86
Love the car
Re: my monster BMW 535i turbo -86
You should not. Sort of an Alpina-only thing. However, if you don't put the text... I'd say that's fair game.M106 wrote:shoud i put alpina stripes on my car?
Can you verify 51471934987 is correct, by chance?
Also, have to say, I liked your old wheels better, but that's just because the new ones look similar to the ones our police cars use. It's like you're some kind of traitor now. They match the car very nicely though.

the footrest is same
i will probably put a different stripes on the car
Re: my monster BMW 535i turbo -86
I'd say no to the Alpina stripes, but not because I don't like the striping. You have a lot going on with your car, pretty busy. But I currently love the look you have going on with the black wheels and the chrome center cap. I think that they refer to it as "titties". LOL. I'd keep it the way it looks in that last picture. That's just my opinion though.
I love your build.

Re: my monster BMW 535i turbo -86
Nice build. I love te simplicity of the upgrades and the good power it makes.
I've got a 6spd for the s50 lying at home doing nothing. May think about welding on the bellhousing of a stuffed by gearbox that bolts up to the m30/m88 as the extra gear would really suit my car as I do the odd long trip in the e24 and the dogleg with 3.45 diff makes cruising 100kmh a 3000rpm expernace. There is not much room in the trans tunnel did the 6spd fit without any modification to the tunnel?

I have been thinking about steelies painted body color and the hub cap for a few years. Figured I would run drag radials and skinnies. Glad you did it so I could get an idea what they would look like. Thanks. Killer car. It would be much faster with 200 less HP.

Re: my monster BMW 535i turbo -86
Good to know the 6spd fits perfect.
Have to start looking for a dead manual box.

as you know, when the m3 gearbox fits into the engine, nothing else fits =)gazm3 wrote:Good to know the 6spd fits perfect.

Re: my monster BMW 535i turbo -86
I noticed on that article that it said you're running M5 sway bars with Powerflex bushings, which is the same as what I'm putting on my car. I'd be interested to see how you're actually attaching the new brackets to the car. Another member here has a reinforcing kit for the back which'll fit no problem, but the front is kind of unsure, as he uses Energy Suspension brand bushings on his. If I have to get one fabricated, it'd be nice to have a couple of pictures of a set up that works.
Re: my monster BMW 535i turbo -86
Hopefully it's actually an M5 box. $300 core charge and I'm going to bet most of the cores they get back aren't M5 boxes.
