To the right buyer, I think you could get $8500. It appears to be a nice, well sorted car now!

I got the heater out tonight, it took about two hours from the time I started until having the core out of the box. It's a disgusting mess so it will take a while to clean up. One more thing the next owner won't have to deal with.

You do nice work. Are you going to put it back in. Because if you don't, then the next owner really won't have to deal with it.

This just became a part out thread. :)

It's a rather easy job when you no longer have ac. I loosened the dash but there was no reason to remove it from the car. E28s are so basic to work on, it was actually rather fun.

Just got off the horn with the local dealer and found out the seals and gaskets for the heater box are NLA. Good thing I have elmers glue.

wouldnt call out the great stuff. My shop turned me onto a new silicone.. its called dirko. I think elring makes it.I went from having to replace 5 wheel barrels a year to 4. Worth it.

Course I was running racing wheels during a bridge construction so what do i know..

All I know is they call me dirko dave.

The foam, I dunno. find something that is close to the same size and trim it. Probably find some 3m tack adhesive. I heard loctite makes some tough stuff now.

I pulled the carpet out of the car and found that the pad below was completely saturated front and rear on the drivers side, it was also under the tar paper in a few places so I removed that as well. One step closer to a parts car. :)

I might put it back together around spring time or sell it as an autox car.

My car has been trapped in the shop for nearly a month, I tried to get up the hill out of my shop but this is as far as it got. It's finally supposed to all melt and turn to flooding by mid week. I just pulled it back in the shop so no one crashes into it.

What an annoying winter it has been here.

The part of me that feels warm and fuzzy on the inside does. Sadly that's not the majority.
