Odd. I have been reading that E36 radiators fit. Anyone have experience with this?

E34 radiator, eh? Interesting. I tried fitting an E32 radiator in my E28, and it was too wide. So an E34 radiator works? I may do that, if it has the integrated overflow tank. Do you use an E34 M30 rad, or M60? Or is there a difference?

Also, quite a beautiful engine bay you have there! One day I will make my engine bay pretty, but that'll be years down the road most likely.

I tried fitting an e34 m50 radiator, it was too wide. Maybe the other ones work, I don't know. I ended up with a z3 1.9 radiator which hopefully is enough cooling but I haven't had a chance to find out yet.

I will snap some pics in the upcoming days & let you know the part number for my radiator. It's an M50 radiator. Not all of them fit, some are wider.
Mine is a 35i and it's more than enough. I'm using a spal push fan, and even in the hot summer that single fan is only on around 30% time on idle even with a 80C thermoswitch.

I checked the part number, it says E30 4cyl, E36 4 and 6 and E34 6 cyl too.

Very nice clean setup. The tap into the manifold is a smart move, keeps intake flow on the "cold" side of the engine.

Any issues with operation of the AFM the way you have it? Those things usually are placed so the axis of rotation of the gate is somewhat vertical, and yours is almost horizontal.

Also, I don't see an idle control valve - are you using a MAP (Manifold Air Pressure) sensor?

No, I just removed the ICV alltogether. Idles fine without one, just raised idle around 100rpm..
No issues with the AFM, this engine management is an old-ass crap, so honestly a 1-2% difference in measured flow just can't be noticed.. I'll be ditching it later for a standalone.
