Post by Dirtym30 »

Hey gents, just thought I would make you all aware there’s a really nice tubular manifold available for our boxes. Little expensive but looks quality.

$1500 for a turbo manifold?? That is extremely pricey! Would be cheaper to buy a TIG welder and a tube kit and make one myself, and then I would end up with a manifold AND a TIG welder!

It takes some serious R&D to build anything like this so you get what you pay for… ;)

I would like to see you guys build a manifold like this. That's a lot of R&D, jig and fab time. Plus 316 stainless steel has doubled in price in the past few months.

No it doesn't, you literally copy the same design that has been out there for years. That's what the Chinese companies do...

Here is a $700 version on Ebay:

Here is a $500 Chinese version:

Here's a $290 version from Aliexpress:

Another $290 version on Aliexpress:

They are all the exact same design.

That said, the mint manifold appears to be a slightly different design. However, the high cost here is most likely due to low volume production more than anything else.

I just might, if I can't find one reasonably priced. I do need a good excuse to pick up a TIG welder. (I already have MIG and stick...)
