Post by e38740imd »

anyone have any details about this?

its supposedly has all forged internals. which would be ideal for my turbo setup to swap blocks

anyone have compression details, bore info etc? just the details on the bottem end

i have pics if it needs to be posted.

Cheers!

Finding anything about Dinan stuff from the 80's has to be pretty difficult these days. I recall trying to find out technical details on a Dinan M6 turbo (E24) and came up empty handed (and parts were impossible to source). If someone here has some info that would be great to know. However, I thought all M30's had strong enough stock internals for moderate amounts of boost without significant alterations; personally I'd rather use a B34 given its extra cooling route. In any case its really a question of how much boost you're looking to go with, and for what purpose.

My block seized up. Randomly

I installed I larger throttlebody etc and installed a new oil filter housing and other small stuff.

Installed and car started right up. After 5 mins of idling I heard a small knock and TONS of smoke out the exhaust. Turned it off. And went to crank again and seized with some loud metal cranks. So I need a new block.

Hence my need to block swap.

So I need something to swap in 2-3 weekends
