NLA coolant pipe for M5, solutions?

Post by robertodonnell »

Hi guys, part #10 on the diagram, P/N 11531306873

This part is now NLA. Does anyone have a workaround for it?

Cheers,

TBH I don't believe them, or the others that show it. In my experience they list items as in stock, and then order them from BMW .Before I posted this I emailed every one of them to confirm. If I get a positive reply I will buy one, but in the meantime I am trying to find a way around it if I can't buy a new one.

I bought that water hose a few months ago when doing an engine refresh, so unless something drastic has changed it should still be available.

Which seller did you buy it from? It's definitely NLA from the dealer, unless there is one in a parts warehouse somewhere.

Sadly they don't ship internationally, and I am in Australia.

Bad news everyone.

All suppliers confirmed that this item is now NLA, and unable to be supplied.

Fortunately this is an easy piece to fabricate. If you have the original part ( I am assuming it is rusted out) take it to a fabrication or race shop and they can easily copy it. Better yet have them do it in stainless so you never have to do it again.

I don't have the original piece. The original is steel and long gone, someone's made a terrible attempt out of rusty water pipe to make a replica, it's the wrong diameter and doesn't have barbed ends. I'm getting one made up out of stainless steel by my muffler shop.

The original has a kink in it and a bracket to hold wiring. I'll just have to wing it.
