New all aluminum radiator from BMW??

Post by S62ninja »

Anyone else get this as the OEM radiator from BMW? Ordered from FCP euro but this doesn’t look like their photo (obviously) or what I have (which looks like their photo).

Thanks for the quick reply. Wish my sticker didn’t look so sketchy for a Genuine BMW part.

Wow, that is cool. Wonder if they implement that with the new 535i radiators from them

They still show the usual plastic tank version for the A/C cars, though. But it would be cool if they did.

I have an all aluminum radiator from Ron Davis in my M5 (also in my '80 635CSi). Great alternative.

I went on their website but don't see a radiator for an e28 M5. Did you have yours custom made by them?

Thanks, Doug

Had RDR build one for my M5 a few years back.Their part # 1-13M58788.
Not a pure custom item, but a couple of month's delay in shipment. RDR was in the middle of doing a run of radiators for NASCAR teams.
Definitely worth the wait. Hardly cheap, but worth every bit of the cost.

The factory e28 m5 and e24 m6 radiator came black. I had to replace my old one. I bought one from BMW about five years ago. The tanks are black and the center is aluminum silver.

They had a core for the M5 so I'd call them. For the euro 6er I had to send them my radiator to get it made.
