Hello! I have a 1986 535i that I bought as a "parts car" but it is almost too clean to part out, I think I'd like to try to save it and get it back on the road, but still gauging whether I want to invest time/money or not.
Unfortunately, some rats nibbled away at the engine harness and it's beyond repair. Anyone have an extra harness laying around that they would be willing to let go for pretty cheap? I could also use the two flywheel reference sensors if you happen to have extras.
I'm in San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
You can PM me here or shoot me a text at (805)710-3143 - thanks!

I believe you just need any M30B34 engine harness. So something like this SHOULD work:
Long eBay hyperlink
I did read something about ECU being 24 vs 28 pin. So that may be a consideration.
I dont think transmission matters? Someone on this board who is much smarter than me can confirm. Im still new and learning

The stick has a stick tps and the auto has an auto tps and besides that as far asi know it's the same. I converted an auto harness to a stick harness in 2016 and farms I know it's working well still.
