WTB Heater Control Valve

Post by Germz »

The outlet on the side of mine just broke as I was moving it around, so a rebuild unfortunately isn't an option.

Don't make the mistake of shelling out $$$ for a new one from the dealer; it'll likely only last about a year before it begins leaking. BMW moved production to China years ago and they have a defective design which BMW doesn't seem to have any intention of fixing. (Search for threads on this topic.) Best bet is to find a good used one and rebuild it.

I have a shell if you need to replace that.

Do you need one with a straight pipe down or bent?

this, and not only that, the only rebuild kits available today, are the junk MTC units - meh. i'd rather take my chances with a 35 year old, used heater valve.

If any one needs a 528e valve body I have one.

This is the plastic body, not the valve that is screwed into it.
