Just wanted to toss this out there, I have a copy of the original air dam instructions should you need them once you acquire the bracket. Free of charge I can shot them over by electronic means. Special for you (and any e28r in need of them) feel free to contact me at 818-919-1905

Re: WTB: Mounting Bracket for 535is Air Dam
Hi there, thanks very much for offering. I wasn't sure if I keep the stock valance in place and install the air dam over top and drill holes in the stock valance? Car is a 1986 528e. My email is marc.beaulac@yahoo.ca.
Thanks for your help!

Yes, you attach the mounting bracket/metal skeleton to the car's original metal valance, then attach the spoiler to the mounting bracket. Some have found it easier to mount the spoiler to the bracket & install it as a unit once you have your new holes located & drilled in the valance.

Reply to bump this request as I am also looking for one of these in the DMV/MidAtlantic. Does somebody have 2 of these?

Re: WTB: Mounting Bracket for 535is Air Dam
Someone repopped these a decade or so ago and they seemed to sell very slowly, but I guess they are gone. I wonder if I have one for that cracked across the bottom dam under the deck. Be lost in a pile of stuff, if so.
But I can take pics of the brackets installed as my dam isn't on the car right now and the brackets are, by design. Maybe those needing them could get ideas and make one. All it does is hold a bar up under the diving board bumper in 5 places across the car and two z-shaped pieces to hold the ends of the dam at the wheel well.

Re: WTB: Mounting Bracket for 535is Air Dam
A lucky find. Al Taylor had a bunch of BMW parts there including one broken air dam with a bracket in it.
Re: WTB: Mounting Bracket for 535is Air Dam
I see what you mean, RealOEM only lists the spoiler. Is it possible the bracket comes with it?
No. Description Supp. Qty From Up To Part Number Price Notes
01 Installing set spoiler front 1 51711935116 ENDED, EBA 9770635
01 Spoiler front 1 51711935114 $769.61
There are no numbers stamped on this bracket.
Note that there are 3 parts to it, two small brackets at the outside corners and the larger one across the middle.
Also, the BMW mounting instructions were posted to Tech FAQ a few years ago, so look there before taking AG up on his kind offer.

…just saying, I do have these instructions at a quick relay if trying to find them is a pain. Y’all been cordial and helpful as I’ve gone along my trials and tribulations, so this is the least I can do to repay. Go ahead and take me up on my offer if need be

Re: WTB: Mounting Bracket for 535is Air Dam
There should be 8 pieces not counting nuts, bolts and washers
The top bar has 5 supports attached (bolted) and the two on the bottom edge.
Matt are your brackets on the bar permanently attached?

The long bar has threaded studs in it that the five support pieces with slots are secured to with washer & nut.

That's an original. Looks like it will get some paint before you install it.
I like the hardware as the nuts are the nyloc style.

I talked to a local guy last month who was looking for one. He told me he paid 200-250 on ebay just for the bracket. Blew my mind.
