WTB: Four or Five E28 M5 hub caps

Post by Syndrome »

Hi. I need a set of at least four BMW OEM hubcaps for my E28 M5 Style 5 euroweave wheels, part number 36112225518. The part number of the 171mm cap is 36132225376. Please let me know if you can help me. Thanks.

I have used RS caps successfully. The waffle part is the same. You just have to source the middle which I believe is still available.

They are still available from BMW the last time I looked.

I have BBS RS on my M5 but the spare is an original M5 wheel. These fit perfectly on the spare but only BBS part number on there. I never seen the original hub cap for the M5 so I don't know what they look like. I don't know if these are the ones you want.

Indeed they are. I recently bought a new set (about $110 each, from Husker) in anticipation that eventually they'll become NLA like a lot of other parts for our cars.
If you have M5 wheels in nice condition or are planning to have a set restored, buying new center caps isn't a bad idea since finding excellent used ones is rare; the silver paint on the plastic hex nut is often worn away plus the locking mechanism loosens over time if they're habitually over-tightened.
