WTB: M5 trunk carpet pieces

Post by gray635 »

I know this is a super long shot, but thought I'd just put it out there.

At this point, about all I've got left to obsess over on this euroized M5 I bought last May is the trunk carpet. Fortunately, the battery cover is complete and pretty good, but the rest of the pieces just don't quite come up to standard. Especially the trunk mat.

If anyone has any spare trunk carpet trim pieces, please let me know. Am prepared to pay a VERY good price for some quality replacement parts.

Thanks for any help.

You're better off just finding an upholstery shop and having them take your old pieces and making them with new material. I'm doing that with mine... aside from the flimsy cardboard crap back there, it cant be too difficult to source a similar pattern/color.

Yeah, but I'm trying to keep my car as original as possible. There is an M5 build thread on the board where the owner has stripped the carpet off the "crap carboard" and reapplied it to more durable backing material. So that's an option. But that won't solve the wear spot on my trunk mat.

I am in search of a M6 battery cover if anyone ever comes across one.
