Feb 2024 UPDATE: instead of starting a new identical thread, I will resurrect this one!
Like the title says, I am looking to convert my E28 from electric to manual windows.
Anyone know where/how I can find manual window regulators?
EDIT: Also, if anyone has manual windows and wants to convert to electric, I will trade mine. My electric regulators work great.
Thanks
Sam

Would E12 parts work? Same doors, basically. Wish I had a set for you.

Hi Sam,
Most Euro E28's had keep fit rear windows so a good place to look.
Try Tim https://forum.bmw5.co.uk/profile/31264-tims/ , Ivo https://www.e28.nl/ or Felipe AKA Dogabon from Spain on mye28.com.
Some folks in the UK look to upgrade to electrical rear windows so you could conceivably work out an exchange of parts at zero cost, just shipping.
That would also potentially remove import taxation as no cash changes hands. Value the parts below the taxation thresh hold as it is an exchange.
I will post a link to this wanted add on forum.bmw5.co.uk for you.

I upgrade two of my UK 525e from manual to electric before emigrating to Nova Scotia.
Just my $0.02.

Re: WTB: Manual crank window regulators
I am looking for manual window regulators again! I found some on Schmeidmann, and getbmwparts.com even appears to have them, but I am a little nervous ordering from either one, as I do not know what is and isn't included, and no pics on getbmwparts. Wondering if anyone here has a known working set for all 4 doors, plus needed peripherals, like the hand crank, etc.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Don't be nervous about buying from Schmeidmann or getbmwparts.com (BMW of Silver Spring, MD) - both are reputable. If you have the part #s of the items of interest perform a Search for the # & you'll usually find an mage of it. Good luck!
