F/S - My entire collection of e28 parts - $2,700 - MORE PICS

Post by CharleyDog »

UPDATE: More pics added. I've taken a stab at pricing---$2,700 for all of it. Again, this is three complete interiors, the 533i shell, all its parts, the cart it's sitting on, the M30B35 & stand, the parts bin shelving, which is full of extra parts, and the stuff listed below. Again, each part that was taken off the car is bagged and labeled. None of my shop tools are for sale.

Good news: wife talked me into buying a new house. Bad news: it doesn't have a garage. So, I have to abandon my e28 resto midstream. :x

There are some cool bits in here, like the interiors, wheels, and various OEM upgrades. The restoration cart is also super neat. But this is not where you're going to find some long-lost Alpina unobtanium part hiding in a box. Instead, this is solid collection of parts amassed for a modest restoration project. Someone is going to get a good deal.

I would prefer to sell as a lot and can deliver all of it to the mid-Atlantic region if we come to terms. I am not super interested in pulling bits and pieces out, taking pictures, and doing a la carte sales. I think a serious buyer is going to have to come take a look---there are hundreds and hundreds of parts here. Located in central Virginia.

Here are some highlights:

- A 1984 533i shell
- Every single part of said car individually labeled and bagged (the stack of green crates is full---representative sample of bagged parts shown)
- Approx. 50 disassembly videos covering the entire car
- An entire wiring harness in a single piece
- Complete M30B35 (e32 735iL), including engine stand!
- Lightweight flywheel
- Two big brake rotor/caliper sets
- Three complete interiors
- Crack-free dash
- OEM rear spoiler
- Rather nice set of 17" alloys (don't recall Style)
- Restoration cart
- Three sets part bins/shelving (filled with e28/e32 parts)

Sorry to hear that.

I went the other way. Got rid of my wife so I could do what I love.

Good luck with the new house. Maybe in time, you can add a garage to it.

Best line I've read in awhile, easier than building a garage...

Thanks man. It really does suck. All my metal fab tools, welding, sand blaster, powder coating----all that stuff with nowhere to go. And I loved that car. Not a thing wrong with it mechanically when I last drove it into my shop.

If my wife knew how much money I'm about to light on fire she'd probably leave me.

CharleyDog,

I am up in NOVA and a new E28 owner. Are you interested in selling the metal fab equipment? Maybe the sand blaster and powder coater?

I am so glad you're on the other side of the country.

I'm sure your wife is, but I hope the house is worth it...

Mike, it’s been fun reading your posts and doing the Xmas stuff over the years. Good folks here.

And my wife is smoking hot but just dumb enough to love me. But, really moving so the kids are a bit closer to civilization, friends, etc. Perhaps I’ll revisit this 80s-era Bimmer fetish once they’re out of the house.

Found some more pics. Will post manana.

If you decide you'd like to sell the dash separately, I'd love to buy it!

Definitely your location is saving relationships! Spent the better part of the day boggled as to how you can walk away from a garage. You’re a bigger man then I. My garage has saved my marriage weekly!! I perve a loaded is front spoiler, Sport seats, along with the goodies you listed. Need to ask (or highlight really, for the benefit of a proper sale for you) carpet sets? If you have a black one? There’s plenty of good here, more then enough to substantiate your asking price. Thank you for being far away from me!! Good luck with the new house and this sale. Seems well worth it as a purchase!!

I think you are doing your wife an injustice, smoking hot is one thing, but, smoking hot with mind control abilities, is a one in a life time find. Just kidding my friend, I wish you all the luck, and based on your price for that warehouse full of stuff, the new home must have already closed and we are running out of time. Best wishes and good luck.

Successful and very fun sale of everything to wgarrett, to whom I recommend anyone contact for the parts you were looking for. When I left him and his crew, it looked like the Teutonic Special Forces had targeted a self-storage location with a cluster bomb comprised of BMW parts.

Made the trip from VA to PA in a 1996 3500 Dodge with no wipers, no horn, and a headlight switch that starting smoking when you turned it on. Also, smoking hot wife was with me.

Best to all.

Do you have the left rear driver side door handle and the two screws that mounts it to the door? If you do, let me know what the price is and shipping details.

Thanks.
