WTB Used TRX 220/55/390 tire

Post by emac »

yep, you read that right. I am looking for a used TRX tire to use as a spare for my m6 restoration. I have the wheel but no tire. Anyone have one laying around? Thanks!

I thought the spare was a 200/60-390 same as the stock size on a 535 ??

The 6er 390 wheel and the 5er 390 are both 165 wide. 220 seems too wide for that width wheel.

Pictures that I have seen from M6's show the 220/55/390 tire in the trunk. The M6 originally came with 240/45/390 tires on the corners.

I will try to remember to look and confirm but almost certain my M6 has a 200/55-390 in the trunk on bottlecap sort of style wheel... it had 240/45-415 tires on basketweave wheels otherwise. I thought ALL US M6's came this way. If you are after originality I'm certain mine was original when I got it.

Would love to know what came in your car. I have searched the net and every picture I have seen (several on BAT) show a 220.

3 words my wife cherishes whenever I say them... "I was Wrong" My spare is a 220/55 VR 390.

I guess it works out because the diameter is nearly identical to a 240/45-415. But it's really just a little big for the spare well as it has made a sort of donut in the carpet where the sidewall is poking up more than the well was designed for.

So there you go. If you want any pictures I can take them.
