Lights were never used without the Lamin-x so the glass is perfect. The film is not perfectly flat all the way around the outer edge of the lens but I think with some heat from a hair dryer it would lay down properly. (But I haven't tried it.)
As far as I can tell, Hella doesn't offer these anymore.
If you're going to run sealed beam US DOT headlights, might as well be Hella's right?
