FS 1988 M5, PARTING WHOLE CAR

Post by Mario L. »

FRIENDS,

I recently acquired an M5 for parts. It is not yet at my shop, but will be by the end of next weekend.

I'm going to offer this car's parts here first. It was an almost perfect M5, with all new leather upholstery done a year ago at over a $10K expense. Sadly this car met its demise on the left side, and is severely damaged. Left side of front and rear seats are compressed, but likely there is no leather damage. I need to disassemble before offering any portions of the interior.

here's what is NOT AVAILABLE:
Engine and trans
Hydro boost brakes and PS Pump
Complete exhaust
Left side doors

AVAILABLE:
Usable and good from the exterior:
Trunklid and rear deck spoiler
Headlights and grills, all new Hella with H4 & H1 inserts
Rear tool tray with some tools
All interior trunk trim
4 BBS M5 stock wheels
4 17" Style 5 BMW wheels with VG tires
Rear light assemblies
Differential

Please PM only, I will reply with details ASAP. A PM with wants and needs will help.

I will edit this thread with pictures at my earliest opportunity.

Updates now that I have the car apart and can see accurately what is good and reusable. As you can see this car took a hard hit, fortunately the driver walked away with no injuries other than a chipped tooth. Please, let's not discuss the details of the accident.

The previous owner made a huge investment in this car, so there are many new parts. Inquire for needs!

The leather on all the seats was a custom installed kit from Kevin Chin 1 year ago. Although the drivers seat is severely bent and the left side of the rear seat frame is bent, the horse hair and leather should be transferred to good frames. I have available a rear seat frame and a spare M5 front seat frame.

All door panels are reusable except the center section and arm rest from the left rear door.

Both front fender, left front door , hood and rear spoiler are good

Both front grills are good, uncracked, a bit faded.

We will carefully save the full carpet set, it will most likely come out undamaged and from all we can see it iis clean and unstained as the car has always had floor mats.
New front brake calipers with new pads and correct M5 rotors

Rear lights, minor crazing, no cracks, black is a bit faded Left and right side $550.00

M5 Steering box $1000

Recently restored 17" Style 5 wheels with Michelin Pilot Sports
best offer

3.91 LSD , fractured rear cover

not fro this car:
1 full set of brand new door glass, all 6 pieces, OEM from BMW Best Offer!

Look at the pictures in the following post, figure out what you need and PM me. I NEED this stuff gone, I don't want to store it!
