WTB: M30 motor

Post by inkatouring »

Title says it all. Sorta.

I'm looking for a block, head, crank and associated parts for a motor build project in NorCal. Please email me at joshuaweinstein@ymail.com (yes Y not G).

Got one removed from a '85 535i 5-speed. Mileage was 160K. Customer decided to go full boat on his build with a HOT ROD B35.
B34 is complete from oil pan (clean - not scrapped up) to valve cover. Oil on dipstick is fairly clean. This B34 has not been cracked open - cylinder head is virgin. Good platform to build. $425

Also available:
#059 ECU

e28 engine wiring harness (uncut).

Euro 10:1 'piano' pistons - 91.97

BMW Rods re-worked - sized w/new bronze bushings - shot peened - balanced end-to-end.

if you feel like making the trip up to Portland, i know of a 108k mile B34 long block, removed from an '88 535i. the engine ran very well, when removed last summer.

I'd potentially be interested in the piano pistons. What are you thinking on those?

Also, I'd love to talk to you about your "538" Stroker motor.

The Euro pistons $50/each.

Block was hot tanked, inspected - painted oil gallies with glytone, new freeze plugs

CP Carrillo make custom forged 11:1 Bore: 3:701 Stroke: 84.0

Pauter Rods, Ported & polished S38 cylinder head, B36 camshafts, Fahey crank hub

ARP hardware, Euro Headers (old style) free flow M5 exhaust.

Euro 50mm throttle bodies - calibrated, Euro airbox

Standalone ECU - laptop programable on the fly.

It was a Work-of-Art.
