WTB - A/C interior temp. sens; center cons trim; rear parcel

Post by AlpinaB7Turbo1 »

Hello everyone,

I am looking for some unobtanium pieces for my 1986 E28 Alpina B7 Turbo restoration. One is the A/C interior temp. sensor - 64 11 1 369 828 (64111369828). Another is the black center console trim piece that goes under the radio/Klima console for A/C cars and has the ashtray/cig lighter integrated. It is vented/slatted for the additional A/C blower to suck cabin air from. P/N is 51 16 1 875 613 (51161875613). I am also looking for an anthracite rear parcel/package shelf for the non-hifi cars - just the single oval speaker grills. (I am pretty sure the part number for that is 51 46 1 920 504 (51461920504).) I want the nicely contoured one with the hump near the rear window for the 3rd brake light. Correction!! I just realized the rear anthracite parcel shelf WITH the hump for the 3rd brake light started in 9/85. This makes the proper part number 51 46 1 937 701 (51461937701). And, speaking of 3rd brake light, I need the base plate that mounts to the parcel shelf - 63 25 1 377 712 (63251377712).

Thank you for all your help and wish me luck.

Looking forward to your PMs.

Resurrecting this old post. I am still looking for an anthracite rear parcel shelf with the seatback contouring for the sport seats that also has the hump for the 3rd brake light. Anyone have one lying around or know where I can find one? What is most important for me is that the press board is in good shape - the cloth/carpet I can always have redone.

I might have the parcel shelf. I’m not certain if the color is anthracite or blue due to sun fading but I will try confirm. FYI it will need to be dyed to be perfect.

I may have a good to excellent parcel shelf in anthracite available. Some fading is unavoidable and in my experience the carpet is not dye-able.
. But it takes the carpet paint well.

Shipping from Seattle.

Yes. The issue is the factory carpet you could clean with say acetone and no difference in color. If you spray it the paint will come right off.

So to fix it professionally I suppose buying a dyed piece of carpet and re adhering it to the panel would be the most professional way.

The spray can shit doesn't last like oem finishes.

The one exception would be 2k paint cans basically.

While it looks like anthracite, I don’t think it’s the part number OP was looking for. LMK if anyone else is interested in it.
