Didn't see you on either the batch 1 or batch 2 lists. And even if on the list, there were a bunch of people who didn't bother to follow-up with me. And since I'm also a little busy, I don't send out personal reminders.

It's not a problem if you don't have any left: I'll simply wait until next time or I won't get one (I have a a couple of the plastic ones). I just never got any notification, and I didn't know I was to pre-pay. I was traveling a lot at this time, and so it's likely my fault. I still would have thought a PM through here would have been easy, since I would have responded immediately, having purchased a ton of stuff from folks.

Thanks to demetk for taking the initiative and making a great, much needed product for the forum members. This topic was active at numerous times over the course of the last year plus and it was pretty easy to follow.

Bumping this thread to see if these are still around or what ever happened? Way back when, I bought one (through amazon, which helps explain why it took forever to find this thread) and found it to be just f’in awesome when I eventually installed it. So much so that I would buy another for my new “hermit crab” e28 which I am piecing together and will live on my shelves until I find a shell for it to crawl into.

Hard to believe this was 2 years ago. If people are still interested I can contact the shop to see if they can make another batch.

Thanks again for having made these. I’ve subscribed and, if interest spools up and a run gets going, will get in on it for sure. In the mean time I’ll just enjoy how solid my switches are with this surround!

Cheers,

I am unable to see the pictures from the original thread. Is there anywhere else I can see what these look like?

I will call the shop tomorrow and get the ball rolling. This is a 2 step process. 1. get the pieces cut and bent and 2. get them powder-coated. So it does take some time.

So it looks like they have already been made. I'll have to pick them up and drop them off for powdercoating.

Please tell me you still have one of these left!

If, please count me IN. If you’re accepting payments, I’ll fire it off.

Thanks!

Panels have been picked up. Unfortunately they are scratched up. The owner of the shop was livid when he saw them. I'm going to bring one to the powdercoater so he can evaluate it. I may have to contact the shop that made them and request another batch made. I'll keep you posted.

I had another batch made and picked up. I have to arrange powder coating which is tougher to do now. I'll keep you guys updated.
