'Seating' Master Cylinder Plastic Connector

Post by The Don »

Currently doing an overhaul of my clutch system and I cannot for the life of me get the plastic connector 'seated' all the way into the master cylinder. See the image. I even put the 'flat' of the plastic connector on the edge of my work table and pushed down on the entire assembly without any luck. Does not seem like it will come out during operation, but I also do not want to deal with it coming off down the line.

Anyone ever experience this?

Use a knife to trim down the barb on the connector.

Lubing it with brake fluid will help.
