Rotating camshaft

Hey guys I’m trying to line up the camshaft and crankshaft to tdc but the cam is off by a tooth the while the crank and is on the mark. Anyone know how to rotate the cam to line it up?

maybe not the "right" answer, but what I've done on other things that were off like this was put the belt back on and rotate the crank until the cam was where it belongs. Remove the belt, turn the crank back where it needs to be. Do not give it a full spin but rolling the crank backwards by hand just one tooth shouldn't bother anything. So long as you go slow and do this by hand you'll know very quickly if parts are touching that should not touch long before it does any damage.
