Deteriorated throttle cable grommets

Post by LarryM »

I just noticed these grommets at the intake manifold bracket are cracked. The cables are operating fine. I'd prefer to replace only the rubber grommets if it's possible, but is it necessary to replace the entire throttle cable? On RealOEM it appears the cable comes pre-assembled with the grommet.

A cheap fix that is more or less permanent is to use epoxy putty.

This is a nice solution https://meurosport.com/Aluminum_Bushings.php

They are available separately. They are clear rubber/plastic now. The part number is 35411152744
