I’ve fitted MSPNP from DIYauto to my 1988 BMW E24 635csi. M30B35
Removed AFM, Fitted IAT sensor, Fitted Innovate wideband.
So engine side runs fine.
But I’ve got the 4HP22EH gearbox.
So the transmission is basically in limp mode, asking on MSEXTRA, basically my auto with MSPNP is currently unsupported.
So has any one managed to sort out fuel load etc to get the standard auto ecu to talk to the MS PNP?
Currently i believe my options are-
1) try sort out wiring (def. preferable)
2) try to find a manual gearbox in australia, which is difficult
3) buy Compushift for approx $1600AUD
4) buy Spitronics ecu off ebay for $600AUD
5) Megashift, but thats more built it yourself from scratch and im not keen
6) rip it all out and cut my loses
Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

This is a question I would ask on the GrassrootsMotorsports.com message board. There is DEEP experience with MS adaptations for this kind of thing there.

I'd try analizing your specific case, on M30B34 e28s the gearbox computer only expects a couple of signals (some of which may even be omitted).
On M30B35s I know it's different, since the pinout of M1.3 doesn't have the same interactions with the TCU. I remember this from when we swapped an e34 535i from an auto to a manual.
Try checking your particular ETM and see what interactions there are between the ECU and TCU and try faking them.

Re: M30B35 Auto 4HP22EH Transmission Control with MSPNP Help
Ive had a similar issue where I could not get it out of limp mode. I'd check the connector that goes in the transmission from the shift console. Its a bit of a squeeze but worth checking the simple things first. If not a common issue for these EH trannys is that the connectors on the solenoids move and ground themselves out on the trans-case, which was the issue with mine.
