M10/M30/M106 Steel HD rocker arm - Parts arrived

Post by BenGerman »

Hi everybody,

after some research, I found a decent source in europe for High Strength steel rocker arms.
I'm trying to see if there is any kind of interest in organizing a group purchase from KM cams in Norway?

They have been discussed plenty of times online, being successfully used even with the highest lift cams in M10 race engines.
The normal price is 399€ for 12 and 299€ for 8, but they are willing to give a good discount if we get a couple people together.

I have time following information so far:

- they come with new hardened Eccentrics and bolts
- they work with almost every cam on the market, the contact patch of the rocker is wider and allows better wear patterns on the cam
- leverage ratio is the same as OEM
- the have a specially heat treated pad (I'm still trying to verify what kind of process)
- no special oil/wear in procedure necessary

UPDATE:

I got the prices from KM cams. They will be around $253 per set, shipped to my place.
So the set can be had for $260 shipped in the US.
Anybody interested?

The surface is gas nitrided.
As it seems that the rocker is not being polished after Heat treat, I'm currently looking into CNC polishing them after I receive them in.
KM cams has confirmed that this would not be necessary, but I do like to be on the safe side.
I will try to place the order in the next couple of days, so they will be here before the end of the year.

I also did weigh the factory ones. They are 73g a piece without hardware.
After the last revision, the KM rockers are 101.6g, according to the 2002FAQ.

With The current exchange rate we are at $265 per set of 12 shipped to me.
That means another $10-$15 after that to get it to your place.
