Hi guys/gals!
I'm installing a turbo in the near future, and something I'm looking to buy is an oil cooler to keep oil temperatures in check . Besides doing a custom install with a thermostat, I'm wondering what oil filter housing would work in my September 1986 b34. I've read here that sometime in 86 the oil filter housing changed, I have never removed mine, so I'm not sure what I have, is there a way to know without removing it? I've seen a couple housings in ebay, one seems to be from a early b35 (e32), another from an older car (doesn't have the "split" big chamber in the mating surface of the housing).
Something else that might help me is if someone has experience with having done this mod and measured the temp difference in oil (and has seen that it hasn't changed much)

Re: Oil filter housing
You need to pull your housing off and look at the configuration of the block and the housing, then get back to us.
Re: Oil filter housing
I guess I'll have to remove it to check it out Thx
