You could probably make it so one type would work for both. Maybe shafts that fit the hood grommets that are also internally threaded (or externally) for grille mounting.

I like the idea but also think a grill badge would be better than a hood/trunk badge. But I'm in for a 300,000 mile version for the M5 regardless of what the final design is.

Will be most interested

Note - go with posts at the same spread of the hood Roundel
It would be easy to modify as a Grill Badge, mount as the hood Roundel or with some effort remove posts and double side tape to mount

Awesome guys thx for all the feed back and keep it coming! I'm already in talks with the company that is about to produce me a sample one! Soon as I get it I'll be posting it up for everyone's input.
