I’m curious as well. I’m in north Jersey. I’ve only seen one other e28 on the road near me.

There are a number of BMW-specific Facebook groups/pages. We have a DMV (DC/MD/VA) E39 group. I looked for a Mid-Atlantic group & found these:

There's also The Vintage page, for those fans of the spring event in Asheville, North Carolina - lots of us are there:

There are quite a few E28 owners, both here in the NYC metro area and also in the Boston area. Plenty in between as well.

The way I view this endeavor is: MAKE ONE. Find us all; assemble a group. Hold an event. Publicize it. MAKE IT HAPPEN.

In the end, we will likely show up, specifically if it is an E28 event, and we have enough time to plan for it.

I lurk much more than I post, and spend most of my free weekends at the track in either my E28 or E30 race car.

I'm in CT and would love to meet up with fellow New Englanders! Any meets planned? Desires to create a Northeast group since there doesn't seem to be one already?

I'm in CT also - I see a black 528e occasionally. My alpineweis 535is is mostly track use these days.

I'd be in for any sort of meet! Located in Western NY currently. I always get jealous seeing the west coast meet ups.

Nice! Glad to see everyone nearby. FCP Euro is doing a BMW C&C at Lime Rock Park on May 7th in CT. I have a contact at FCP and can see if I can coordinate a portion of the area where we park specifically for the E28 community if I could garner enough interest here. Is there anyone who would want to do this?

I do like the sound of this. It’s about a two and a half hour drive for me. Not too bad. You can count me in.

I put the Lime Rock C&C on the calendar. Any details for time?

Not an E28 owner but I wouldn’t mind tagging along if E46s are invited.

Awesome! I'll count all you guys in! I'll figure out the exact time on May 7th, but it looks like the Swede (Volvo, SAAB) meet is from 9am - 1pm for their 4/22 meet. I'll confirm and as soon as I find out, I'll let you guys know. And @WilNJ all BMWs are welcome!

We can finalize details once it gets closer but I'd be up for a caravan from NJ/NYC.

Unfortunately I just found out I’ll be in NC for that weekend. It’s my nephews graduation and can’t miss it. I’m in for other meets that may get organized.

would be nice to attend a gathering that is not 87% Porsches, 6% Ferraris, 3% E30s of some kind, and 4% "everything else". Count me in!

nothing wrong with Porsches, Ferraris, E30s or their owners. It's just that they have SO MUCH ENTHUSIASM

For anyone who can't get enough Bimmer in their life, there's another event at Lime Rock that might interest you.

M Fest is October 14 and 15
