Off Topic - Possible Bavaria purchase - apologies in advance

Post by kalittle0463 »

Folks of e28 - I love my e28, but I'm looking at purchasing a Bavaria as well. If it's allowed to discuss non-e28s, what is a running Bavaria worth? Is it even possible to get parts to repair the engine? Opinions on such a car?

If this is not allowed, please remove.

Bavaria's have much in common with E28s. The engine is pure M30 goodness, albeit originally with fragile heads prone to cracking, but later ones bolt up fine and most have been replaced by now. At least once.. I'm sure some parts are NLA, trim especially, but I doubt you'll have trouble finding engine parts. You are likely to have problems with the evil Zeniths, but such is life, I converted mine to L jet in the early 90s before it got hit and totaled while parked.

The E3 is a bit of an orphan, more so than the E21. http://www.seniorsix.org/index.html has so info & lots of dead links.

https://e9coupe.com/forum/forums/e3-sed ... ussion.16/ has a bit of traffic - some names you'll recognize from the 2002FAQ & this E28 forum. You might need to reach out to the German & UK forums.

Good luck!
