Does anyone have recommendations for a good BMW mechanic in Seattle or nearby? I'm doing most things myself but I'd like to have a dependable resource on hand.
Has anyone been to Precision Motorworks in Interbay?
Thanks,
Skoot

I've had good experience at Signature Independent in Kirkland. The owner, Rick, knows these older BMWs pretty well.

Good to know, thanks!

If you’re wanting to do most thing yourself but need a knowledgeable guide, track down Dan Patzer in Marysville. If you want someone you can hand larger projects over to and know they’ll be done right, contact Patrick at Midnight Motorsport.

My Main Man Spencer in Lynnwood hands down. He's on the Board here as Spen I believe but is no huge Internet fan period.

Has parts and/or finds parts.
Is a certified E28 fanatic.
He is almost OCD about his work.
Prices lower than anyone I can pretty much assure you.
AND he's a fun guy to hang out with to boot!

I lived on Mercer Island through most of the 1990s and at the time a place in Bellevue called "Strictly BMW" was considered a very good shop. When I first became a BMW owner in '97 I had them do a bit of work on my E24 and I was left with a positive impression. A visit to Yelp indicates they're still in business with a good rep.
