How would y'all feel if a bunch of 2002s showed up? Our big national event was just recently canceled and there are a bunch of Texas 2002 drivers itching to get together and drive with like-minded maniacs.

I had planned on bringing my '88 535i, but lots of 5ers are telling me to bring my '67 2000CS instead... we'll see.

Ed just what Gary said. Everything is welcomed. I would suggest getting on the waitlist with the hosts, plans change for people; but also look for AirBnb or local hotels. We are centrally located so there should be accommodations around. We would love to see some 2002s. It won't be the first time.

Bump: If you haven't registered for shirts. Deadline is Sept 1st.

I can't do Reno, so I'm doubling down my commitment to TexFest. I'll be sans-car, but I'll be there!

UPDATE 09/07

Registration is now closed.

But this year you have 1 more important task to do, if you would like of course.

Food planning

This is brought to you by a few of us, and started by Eric, Sean. Kris and gang. So big thank you to all that are putting it together and participating.

WHAT IS IT?

This is a sign up for food. This year we will cook for ourselves. No more food trucks and catering. The only planned meals are

Breakfast- Friday, Saturday, Sunday - courtesy of our hosts
Lunch- Saturday - Canyon BBQ and Grill in Campwood, TX at 1pm.

We need your head count in your party, and decision if you would like to participate in a Potluck Cooking completion on Friday.

This will close on September 29th. Based on commitment we will contact you on what we would like to collect ahead of time via Venmo, Zelle, CashApp towards the food. Expect about 10 dollars per person.

That will cover 2 dinners (Thursday, Saturday) Can't beat that. Keep in mind if you don't sign up, we will have hard time providing food on the spot. Most of the items will be bought ahead of time.

Don't worry about cooking it. We have volunteers already signed up!

No takers for this stuff in Reno, so I will try here.

Anyone interested in these parts linked below? I would rather drive them to Texfest than pack up for shipping for an ebay sale.

Many thanks, Pavel,

I already registered and completed the Cook Off form. Travis Brints was kind enough to offer to share a room, so I'll be able to stay with the main group. I'll see if any of the vintage guys want to drive over for one of the days. I'll probably bring the '67.

The way the last few months have gone, I am sure looking forward to the down time. We are looking at a cold front this week in Central Texas, so let's hope that lasts for the event.

See y'all there,

Cabin #10 is now available. 2 single and 1 bunk bed.

IMPORTANT: The rest of the reservation holders - there is a waiver that you and each of the occupants of your cabin/house need to sign in order to get a key. Please do so before you arrive, especially if you are arriving past 6pm. There will be no one to give you a key after 6pm if you haven't submitted your waiver! So just take the time and do it now. Takes 2 minutes.

What is an event thread without pictures?

I know TexFest 2021 concluded more than a month ago, but the time has come to capture its magnificence in this one last post UPDATE.

Above you can see the award trophies for 2021 masterfully crafted by Daniel K. https://www.instagram.com/danielwgk/?hl=en

1. Sherman Award - that went to Todd Farley owner of TMJ and one of our longest standing sponsors. The true spirit of TexFest!
2. Poker Awards - we had a poker run and we had winner and runner-up.
3. Class Awards
- Best of Show - TEXFEST chain award
- Longest Commute - Ivo snagged that since he came from NL, through Mexico?!
- Master of the Pit - Sean cooked for 100 people almost single handedly
- I brough the same car two years in a row award - you know who you are.
- Life of the Party - Chris owner of Denver Beer and Oil
- Those that Bring the Party - Greg S, owner of AngryAssSolutions

This is a good segue to thank our sponsors without who this would never be possible.

AngryAssSolutions - who are our main sponsor for 2021 and as always beer provider! https://angry-ass.com/
SantiagoDavis McD - @geordi TexFest is never the same without your presence. Thank you for bringing your magnificent E23 Alpina B9, and letting me go to Walmart in it, of all places.
TMJ Bimmers - always a pleasure to have Todd, his team and family be part of our re-union.
Blunttech - we missed you Steve! Buy from Blunt!
Denver Beer and Oil (DBO) - the wild cousins from the north. https://www.facebook.com/denverbeerandoil/ Check them out on youtube and instagram.
Ivo Christov E28 Specialist - the one and only other Bulgarian that goes to TexFest now - https://www.e28.nl/
MightyMoose - our printing and design company. Check them out for your next shirt needs. They are great! https://themightymoose.com/
Technik - this is I. Selfless plug. Anything S14 or S38 I would take a look.

Enjoy some of my photos. Nothing magnificent, mostly early morning run arounds of the compound while everyone else is ZZZzzzz.

I have been waiting for these. Glad to see they are back from the developers and they provided a digital copy of them for you to post.
thanks for the update.

What was the breakout of vehicles by E-code? Did anyone do that? I ask cause it is rare to see two E23s anywhere these days.
