Hi Gang! I recently was in a car accident thankfully not my fault and I’m going through the process of having estimates of repair done. The challenge I’m running up against is accurate valuation of my car. In Lou of a Kelley blue book what do you guys recommend using or what is something that is regarded as accurate in terms of determining the value of a beautiful classic Such as the E28?
I own a 1986 528e. It’s in really good shape, excellent, actually.
Thank you

Re: Determining E28 Value ??
Hi Ian, I'd suggest looking on craigslist, ebay, and bringatrailer.com to find cars comparable to yours. From what I've heard, insurance companies will try to lowball you on the car's value and you'll have to fight with them. You might also want to post this in the general discussion forum because you're more likely to get advice there. Good luck!

Pretty much a 'loaded question' as you didn't even post a pic.
Take a look here at <tech/rods_pages/>
and if your 528e is in this shape you're looking at a value of $16-20K
given todays values that I've seen.
