If these failed buys keep happening, the list should eventually get big enough for a fresh production run. SMH, this same thing happened a couple years back when Ivo was trying to ship batches of them. Some showed up broken and then the other planned shipments just faded from reality.

Many thanks for putting in the effort. You stuck with it longer than I would've, no doubt!

I wonder if Ivo could organize a shipment to the Midwest... I think the ones he sold were a little higher priced, and shipping beyond one of the ports might add a bit to the cost, but I'd be game.

Yes, thanks for your efforts. It seems like you put a lot of time and energy into this, too bad it isn't working out.

UPDATE
I called today, and begged to talk to someone about getting one windshield.

Here's the deal Autover of Ohio is being closed and all the employees are being laid off the end of the year. There is no plan for distribution in the US currently, but he said there will be a presence in some form. He forwarded my message back to Europe in hopes someone would contact me.

I called Hagarty's concierge desk and asked them if the can source the correct windshield. We will see if they have a way.

If any of you are familiar with how US service members could send them over let me know. I have a cousin stationed in Germany right now, and he said he would be happy to help.

You are tenacious! I will be on your team any day!

I am unfamiliar with how to get them over here from Germany, but will ask around- tons of older service members in the area.

It just keeps getting worse.... Hargerty gave me a list of companies none of which can get Saint Gobain.

Pilkington no longer makes our windshields, they now sell a Chinese value brand for $290 shipped to a commercial address

At this point, doesn’t it make sense to bring Ivo into the game?
He already has a source from St. Gobain and is experienced with shipping them.

Shipping a windshield from Europe is not an everyday task, as it exceeds all oversized package limits and needs to be packed very well (wooden crate).

I was going to email him tonight. Logistically it would be a nightmare with the group we have being spread all over the country. I did email Saint Gobain Europe again, to see if I could order a bulk shipment.

The next question becomes who the price increase will eliminate from the group buy.

I heard back from Ivo, we need to figure out who would still be in at a higher price.

Shipping will need to be done regionally, I don’t have my stuff with me but I think we have large demand in these areas
1. Florida
2. New York
3. Denver

the price will go up and we are going to have to travel to get them to where people need them. I’m More than happy to shuttle them across the midwest and store some for pickup. I go to Denver an Kansas City a few times a year and travel all over Nebraska.
so who is still in

I'm in, green .. green band is fine.

(I could easily drive to you and pick it up or wait until you get to CO; I'm in no particular hurry for one, as my Pilkington Classic which I bought two years ago is fine *knock on wood* and I'm going to store this one for future use.)

I will take what you get can get me. I have a two bay garage that needs to house a '60 Willy's CJ-3, otherwise the other side is available for short term storage if you need a landing/distribution point closer to Denver.
