I might go with my Mark VII. The diesel is certainly the weirder car but the VII is in much better condition and car shows generally are more of a shiny vs strange event.

Hopefully there are some e28s going. It would be cool to have a e28 meet/cruise there. Anyone in the Lehigh valley area going?

spaced out on the date, didn't get my ticket before they sold out. Guess I'll go to the local one instead.

Saw some photos with what appeared to be a gold (GOLD!) e28. Also saw photos of another e28 which was a very dark color, Euro-bumpered, de-badged, with Maryland plates.

anyone from here?

The arktisblau euro 528i with MD plates was mine.

I believe the gold e28 was a Bahama Beige 528e. It's visible in the 7th image (my 528i is the 9th image) at https://www.instagram.com/p/Cd4VNwzrbmg/ (not my photos).

Yes! That's the photo set I saw when I wrote my post (gold e28 appearing behind an awesome W124 station wagon!).

Just out of curiosity, is there a reason for the lack of badge in your Arktis 528i? (btw e28s with rear headrests = OOOH civilization!)

Also, that blue-green Ferrari 308 on the 5th picture - that's not a factory finish, right? Please say it's not.

My 528i was ordered with the badge-delete option, which was fairly common in europe. As a euro car it also has a somewhat unique set of options...power front windows with manual rear windows, M-Tech steering wheel, A/C, a fancy Bavaria Electronic II stereo, and headlight wash/wipers.

Not sure on the 308 color...in person I think it looked darker but I did notice some rust bubbling under the paint where the c-pillar meets the fender so my guess is that it's been repainted.

The M-tech wheel, the stereo, the Euro bumpers/headlights, the rear headrests and the "Wisch-wasch" system... right at the starting line and you're already riding on at least $5000 worth of parts, labor & grief to gather all of it! That's really amazing. Drive it in great health!
