I'm pretty sure that doesn't exist - mine doesn't have one. Do you know the part number?

OK, how is the A/C compressor belt attached to the engine?

M30 and M20 wrap from crank to a/c, then tension.

M21 is what was used in the 524td

Are you working on a Lincoln? Those have different accessories and belt stuff. If so, the idler pulley is for a 6 rib belt that runs the power steering and AC compressor. New ones do not exist, you have to get creative with cutting the old one apart and modifying it so it has a replaceable off the shelf part. If thats what you have, PM me your email address and I'll send you pictures of how I made mine work.

Thank you for the information. Actually I have a 1991 Bertone Freeclimber 1, 2.4L which has the 524td engine. It would be great if I could get input on how the A/C compressor is attached to the engine.

probably need pics to see what accessory setup you even have. The BMW and Lincoln ones are completely different, no idea about what may have been used in other applications.

has links to both the BMW and Ford manuals, hopefully its the same as one of those and the info there will be of use.
