I am trying to clear out some projects as I have accumulated too many BMW's. This would be an excellent candidate for restoration in a hard to find body style.
This is originally a California Car that was brought over to Montana in 2005 where it has been stored in a climate controlled aircraft hanger and driven fairly regularly in the summer until this year.
Car runs and drives well and has been very well maintained. It has a 5speed g265 and a rare factory 3.46 side-loader LSD.
All power windows and sunroof work as well as all lights.
Gas gauge bounces intermittently and tachometer does not read.
There is some mild body damage from when the car swiped a mailbox in 2005 on the passenger side that is pictured and paint is pretty much toasted.
The body has no rust save for the one spot behind the passenger-side front bumper trim which is in the last picture.
I do also have a complete M90 engine from a 81' Euro m535i that could be included with the car for an additional cost. Link to craigslist post with pictures below.

Can you share the vin from the E12 M535i you got the engine from? Should be on the block by the starter.
Just curious, thanks

Block Serial number is x5548245x
My bad on that, actually came out of a 1980 635csi now that I double checked the vin.
I have a bare M90 block from a 81' M535i and got the numbers mixed up.

Yeah, I'll have to go back to my other storage unit and can do that in the next day or two.

I had one very similar to it; same year in fact. Love the dash more than my E28s
