Registered Dinan Stage 3 car, allegedly, the last registered Dinan E28 in the country, according to a former owner. Stage 3 mods include, but not limited to: special valved Bilsteins, Dinan springs, Dinan giant sway bars, Dinan fixed camber plates, Dinan big bore throttle body, Dinan exhaust and Dinan big brake kit (parts are from E34 M5)
Full Euro conversion done in 2008, using all new parts from the dealer. Euro bumpers, euro valance, euro core support, euro frame rails, euro tail panel, all hardware, etc, all purchased new. Vehicle mostly repainted at this time. A Hartge replica front spoiler was installed at this time.
Vehicle has had a laundry list of mechanical work, including maintenance and upgrades - noteworthy items listed below:
-Oil pump and rod bearings in 2005
-Ireland Engineering headers
-Front upper/lower control arms, steering shaft, tie rods, SS brake hoses
-E28 M5 clutch and flywheel
-Black leather, power, sport seats
-Saab 9000 glass moonroof
-Motronic 1.3 wiring harness conversion
-Custom stereo install
In the last 2000 miles, the car received the following:
-Complete cooling system overhaul (radiator, exp tank, water pump, every cooling hose, thermostat, fan clutch)
-Drive belts
-Oil service
-Crank position sensor, coolant temperature sensors, oil pressure sender
-Spark plugs
-Resealed fuel injectors
-Air mass meter boots
-BBS RC090 wheels and 225/45/17 Hankook tires
This is a great example of a driver quality E28, and while it looks sharp, it can be exercised and driven regularly. That being said, it does exhibit some wear (dings/minor scratches) to the body, from active use. including some paint cracking on the front fenders, mirror, and the Hartge front spoiler. The front seats are worn. The air conditioning system was removed.
It would be incredibly difficult to replicate this car, in today’s market. The parts installed are not commonly found now. The car is at a point to be enjoyed as a great daily driver, or for the new owner to take it to the new level. Either choice would be rewarding. It’s truly a great running and driving car and deserves to be enjoyed.
Clean title, I am the 3rd owner.
