Just saw this '84 533i/5 on my local CL. Looks pretty nice. I don't see it for sale here, so guessing it's not someone on the board. Hit me up if you're interested and not local. I'd be glad to go check it out. Would give me a chance to touch/look at a real car. It's been a while.

I'm old enough to remember when Bronzit was the red headed stepchild on this board. Not so much anymore. Great looking car.

I'm old enough to remember when BMW first announced a new "Bronzit" color by describing it as "Metallic White" and suggesting the preferred interior color match for it was Pacific Blue!

Where’d you get the leather to reupholster your seats?

The leather is original to the car.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mike and seeing his 533i yesterday. I didn't drive it, but looked it over inside and out, and it looks just as good in person as it does in the photos. There are a few minor imperfections in the paint, but nice clearcoat, and panels all looked straight. Interior looks really nice and original. Typical discoloration in the headliner on the C pillars but no tears. I had a quick look underneath and didn't see any evidence or rot, except maybe a little of rust on the tailpipe. Everything looked ship shape. Even the dogbones looked fairly new. If I had the room I'd be seriously thinking about it. And Mike seems like a pretty straight shooter and a nice guy, too. Thanks for the e28 field trip!

I'm old enough to remember another Bronzit that sold for twice this. I think Mike may remember that one too. GLWS
