Wanted: 535is or 635csi
Wanted: 535is or 635csi
First post here. Hello everyone I have been on the hunt for a e28 or e24. Preferably a 535is or 635csi. Manual. I am in the center of the map- Kansas City- and am willing to travel for the right car. From reading other people’s success stories I’m hoping one will turn up close to home. If you are a long term owner or just an obsessive owner don’t worry it will be going to a good home. Currently have a e38 with 40,000 miles (was my dads. He is gone but I still have the car) and a old 911. Manual tranny is probably my biggest want. If you have one or know of one let me know. Thanks.
Re: Wanted: 535is or 635csi
Hello, I was into E28’s some time ago. I can elaborate on my trials and tribulations if we ever get together on what I am going to propose to you. I ended up buying a running 1988 E28 535is in January 2009. Had a low speed accident on April 30, 2010. A mechanic that had worked at the local BMW dealership stripped it of everything on the car except newly installed parking brakes. He had suggested that I strip it because I had purchased a 5SPD ‘85 535i that was not running and he had indicated a desire to make that car roadworthy, that’s another story. So, I am thinking that maybe you might be interested in acquiring a small inventory of parts that you ultimately might have a need for. Also in the years preceding my ownership of the ‘88 535is, I began to acquire parts for the car. If you have been visiting this website, you are , no doubt, aware of pricing for the E28 model, as in price increases. To give you some idea, years ago I purchased a 17 piece factory tool kit for $30.00. Last year, I spotted the same tool kit for sale for what I thought was the same price so, I emailed him, through the forum, asking what the cost would be shipped to my home. He replied that it would be $325.00 I gulped, went back to the ad and sheepishly realized that my vision had omitted one zero from the price. When I emailed him back to apologize for my error, he indicated that he had just sold it for his asking price. Upon additional scanning of the E28 forum, I realized that pricing was way up on all parts. Unreal. I am interested in selling what I have as a package deal. If you have any interest in what I am offering, please TEXT me first to (210) 269-3932 as I usually ignore phone numbers that I don’t recognize because of telemarketers and spam calls. Rick (Oops, forgot to mention that my ‘88 535is was black with a pearl beige interior. R)

Now that would be an interesting proposition if I had the space to store everything.
Re: Wanted: 535is or 635csi
I might be putting my '88 535is up for sale so if you're in the market send me a note
Re: Wanted: 535is or 635csi
I have an 88 535is, manual, 130k miles, in St Louis that I was thinking of listing on BAT. Around 12k of recent receipts. Let me know if you're interested.
