It was on sale locally for a few months after the BAT auction. I haven't seen it on the market since around mid April. I almost bought it myself.

Still for sale I have been getting it ready to throw on BAT. Keep delaying the photoshoot as I have been dialing it in and I travel a ton for work.

Didn't think you could rerun on BaT.
Have they changed that policy?

I paid for pre purchase inspection on this vehicle from a shop. The results are below:

Notes
Inspection results/recommendations for future service:
Engine:
S50B32 "Euro" E36 M3 engine
Swap is overall done in acceptable fashion, but noted messy wiring/plumbing
Purge valve inlet left loose (open hose), appears to be possible cause of high-pitched whistle during cold starts
Engine has minor oil leaks from front/upper/LH region (possibly from around VANOS or upper timing area?)
Exhaust is comprised of stainless headers mated to good-quality SS exhaust with X-pipe
Cooling comprised of Mishimoto aluminum radiator with electric puller fan (no mech fan), Mishimoto oil cooler, car keeps temperature well
Overall, engine runs strong and smooth, makes good power, no signs of mechanical problems

Drivetrain:
LH differential output seal is weeping oil
There is minor play in both the mid and rear driveshaft universal joints
Transmission crossmember is mounted with spacers/shims to adjust rear trans height
S6S 420G 6-speed gearbox shifts smoothly and does not make any excessive noise
Clutch just replaced; chromoly single-mass flywheel and "HD Stage 2" clutch kit from South Bend Clutch
3.64 (measured by spinning diff over) LSD runs smoothly, does not make noise, and locks up properly
Guibo in good condition, driveshaft center bearing replaced with clutch

Brakes, wheels/tires:
Brakes appear to be 750i/540i larger/vented upgrades, brake pads ~80% remaining front, ~40% remaining rear
Braided SS brake hoses
Brake pedal is high and tight, no issues found with brake hydraulics!
Tires are 225/50R16 Conti Extreme Contact Sport tires, '06 date codes on 16" OEM Style 5 wheels
Tires show no cracking and even wear, ~9/32" front tread depth and ~6/32" rear tread depth

Suspension/steering:
Some amount of suspension clunking over bumps and driveway ingress, rear coilover lower spherical mounts show signs of wear
Minor leaks from power steering and/or hydroboost brake systems
Front suspension has polyurethane bushings on both upper and lower control arms
No notable play in steering or suspension components, car tracks straight and handles well!

Body/exterior:
Small rust starting in lower seam of RF door skin
Quarter-sized rust hole in bottom of LF door, as well as small patch near sill plate of LF door
LR and RR rocker panels both show signs of prior rust remediation
Small amount of rust near LF jack pad, but does not appear to spread through rocker seam
Rear subframe mounts and floor all in very good condition
Rear bumper mounts show rust, but body appears to be in good condition beneath them
Minor rust in corners of hood cowl vents
RF lower corner of windshield has recently had a rust spot patched and painted (windshield out!)
Overall, body is fairly clean and straight, with good driver-quality paint throughout.
RH 7" (low beam) headlight is cracked
RH fog light is badly cracked (may be replaced soon)

Interior/electronics:
One crack in center of dash
Sunroof does not open, appears to be binding or cables broken?
Non-A/C car!
Some slight oddities in stereo arrangement (front speakers run off of head unit, rears/subwoofer off of amplifier)
Overall, interior is in good condition, no rips/tears in upholstery, etc.

I remember seeing this car at a show, years ago and enjoyed the attention to detail on its condition. Everything looked clean and the interior was tasteful and smart. It's definitely worthy of a good home.
