Non-Affiliated January 2022

Post by SeattleGuy »

Nice clean early eta.

I think this is the first one of the year? it reads ODO rolled over but the car presents straight and very well IMO

https://kalispell.craigslist.org/cto/d/ ... 61093.html

1983 BMW 528E. The first picture is a mock-up I did with another car and what it could look like and is NOT the actual car for sale. The rest of the pictures are of the actual vehicle and wheels for sale. I've decided to move out of state and just don't want the hassle of transporting it across the country is the only reason I'm selling. These E28's are becoming very hard to find that are not beat to crap with a ton of miles of them. And even than, people are asking a ton of money for them. Extremely low miles, with documentation, and in great condition. Runs and drives good. No rust. Black with blood red leather! Rare color combination. approximately 85k miles, 5 Speed. Paint is mostly original. Hood and sunroof appears to have been repainted and not of great quality. The rest of the paint appears to be original but a little worn, However, I believe it can be professionally clay barred, polished and brought back to life and look amazing. A few nicks and dings. My plan was to update it as the mock up looks. I bought the newly refurbished wheels. They are ORIGINAL BMW 17", staggered 8" x 9" and in like new condition. Bought on eBay for $900.

The last picture is of the actual wheels. I also bought an ORIGINAL BMW front air spoiler from an E28 535is that looks exactly like the first photo. These are EXTREMELY hard to find that are not cracked, broken and in good condition. This one is in great shape! Primer grey right now and has ALL the mounting brackets and hardware. They only thing missing is a small bracket for one of the fog lights. Just needs to be painted and installed. This was $800 on eBay. The interior is in great shape, just needs detailing. No rips or tears in the leather. Headliner and carpets are original are in good condition also. My plan was to put coilovers on it and lower it an inch or so and it would have the perfect stance in my opinion.
If you're looking for a clean, low mileage E28 this is the one.
This is a great example of an E28 and very hard to find!

Looks nice. I'm a big fan of black on red E28s, even ETAs.

Damn straight. And if'n you really have an issue with the powertrain well that can always be remedied if it's that important.

Somebody is gonna get a nice ride. And given what we are seeing in the market these days how can we say it's not a fair asking price. And I think he was including the is valance, which wouldn't necessarily go with the Euro bumpahs???

Just sell it and recoup some money for the bad paint job.

I like the red interior.

I have seen much worse e28s for this money.

Someone should grab it.

Well, as long as we are talking Alpinas, here is my old car - #439. See my sig. It can now be yours for $130K or thereabouts:

https://enthusiastauto.com/bmw/m5series ... -1435.html

I bought it from Tim Jones/m-racer here on the board in 2008 for $27,500. Finally had my fun with it, got bored one day, called Eric and sold it to EAG back in February, 2013 for $32,000. I thought I'd done pretty good.

When it finally sells, it will be the 3rd time EAG has flipped it. Good for them.

Wow, I remember when we had a conversation before you sold your Alpina. At the time, I was concerned about any issues related to the emissions and the Missouri Department of Transportation. All the rest is history. I bought an e34 M5 from m-racer who bought it from alpinamotorsport.
