Enthusiast looking for an m5 project

Post by pbp338 »

Hello all!

Looking for an e28 M5 to add to the stable.
In love with all M5s. Owner of an e34 and e39.
But you can’t be a M owner without the grandfather, the e28 M5!

With the prices being what they are, I can’t pay that much for a perfect example.
I’m willing to buy something not running (I have an extra motor m88/s38) or that needs work.

I live in Toronto, and would prefer something in Canada but I don’t mind travelling. Also from Europe.

Thank you all and happy to be a part of the board!

Thanks! I will!
I have seen several “restored” examples available but the prices are too high.
My ceiling is around 25k.

I know there’s one that needs work on the CCA classifieds. The guy is asking 23k with a restored interior, but needs extensive rust repair, even more than my father and I’s shared project. The car is currently in Pennsylvania I believe, so I figured I’d offer that.

I have to thank everyone for replying to the post.

Thanks to the forum Im a proud owner of a 1988 BMW M5!!!
I was lucky to find a clean, rust free example in my home town owned by a fellow enthusiast.

Happy to be part of the E28 family.
