1988 BMW 5 Series 528E - Lindon, UT | $3,499

1988 Super ETA automatic transmission - not manual.

Runs perfect. Very quiet 2.7 litter M20 - rare car built for less then a year. Has some oil leaks starting at the valve cover.

Sun faded paint on the roof and trunk.

Comes with brand new control arm bushings, new H&R lowering coils, new strut mounts, new spark plugs, and oil change about 1000 miles ago.
Come with MoMo California Heritage steering wheel.

No issues starting or running. Driven all over no issues. Never gotten hot or misfired. Has a ECU chip as well.

I know it's a bit of a thin distinction, but isn't that technically true for the "Super eta"?

Super clean e34. I don't know if I could live with gray on gray for very long, but if you don't mind the color combo, this is a damn nice car for the money:

Nice looking Bav. I'd wax that, especially with the rare V6

Very nice color combo 524td in my neck of the woods. My first car was a 1985 524td in alpine over blue cloth.

Wind-up windows, no A/C, automatic, . . . and a Diesel?

There are likely enough crazies who will find it attractive—but not me!

And who believes an odometer on any E28, much less a gray-market one in miles?

GB rear number plate and miles per hour speedo euro model, but not a standard format UK prefix letter of 'Y' or 'A' for an 1983 model year, and left hand drive?

The 524TD model was not an option in the UK as far as I know, unless this was purchased new in Germany to UK spec by a UK serviceman stationed in West Germany. It was a way to avoid new car import tax if you owned it for more than 6 months outside of the UK. You also needed to be stationed outside of the UK for more than 2 years in order to qualify for the tax break.

Looks to be a rearer shade of green (smaragdgrun / cyprus / plantation), rather than grey, over a pine green cloth interior.

Interesting...

Somebody put some work in on that car. The exhaust thru the hood is a nice touch too. And best of all it shouldn't be any problem to get smogged here in Calif. :D

^^^Man's been trying to sell that thing for months. I wish him good luck.

Here is a manual 535i (which I hardly see for sale anymore). Makes me realize how lucky I was to get mine.

Hopefully, somebody on the forum gets this. It just needs a little detailing love both interior and and in the engine bay, but won't take much to bring it to its full potential.
