For Sale - 1988 535i - 96,500 miles. No rust. Exterior is in excellent shape with absolutely no rust and only minor dings. Bronzit beige metallic, resprayed. Original CA car, moved to Midwest due to death in family. I picked it up four years ago and it’s been garaged ever since; never driven in winter. Underside of engine is oil-free and clean. No leaks. Everything works - power windows, power locks, sunroof, AC. AC converted to R134. OBD needs bulb. New fan clutch, newer water pump. Newer control arms and dog bones. Brakes and rotors good, new rear set-up. Original pearl beige interior in good shape. Cracked dash with cover.
There are issues with the automatic transmission and I had planned to convert it to manual so I picked up a 1986 donor car with G265, drive train, shafts, and most parts, ready for conversion. Donor car also has H & R springs with Bilstein shocks, Dinan chip in Motronic, and Style 5 wheels with good tread.
Located in Illinois, Quad Cities area.

I'm interested. Any pictures of the donor car and does the donor have a clean title? If it doesn't then nbd because I need it primarily for parts, but not sure if the panels are rusty, what color exterior/interior, etc.

18k takes both 535s. Not much left of donor just drive train but I’m sure you could scavenge something. I bought it
pretty well stripped. Front fenders, sunroof, hood ok.

After looking through the pictures, my opinion is that you are asking double to triple what this package deal is worth. Just my opinion, but be prepared to adjust your expectations as to value if you actually want to sell these.

Exactly. Beige on beige isn't helping with the valuation in terms of selling to either enthusiasts or non-enthusiasts. Look at EAG's otherwise nice E28 for proof of that.Kyle in NO wrote:After looking through the pictures, my opinion is that you are asking double to triple what this package deal is worth. I happen to need the fenders off of the parts car, and wouldn't mind converting this car to manual, but at $18k in all-original condition, its just priced too high.
